How to Take a Screenshot on Any Device — Simple Step-by-Step Guide

A screenshot is a picture of what you see on your screen. You can use it to save information, report an issue, or share something with someone else.

Windows (PC and laptops)

1. Quick method — Print Screen

  1. Press the Print Screen key (PrtSc, PrtScn).
  2. Open an image editor (for example, Paint).
  3. Press Ctrl + V to paste.
  4. Save the file.

2. Save screenshot automatically

  1. Press Windows + Print Screen.
  2. The screen will dim for a moment.
  3. The file will be saved in Pictures → Screenshots.

  2. The screen will dim.
